What lock to use on a sharehouse?

If you own an investment property with multiple tenants, chances are you have had a request to provide locks on each bedroom; if not, this could be a great selling point to attract potential tenants. The question remains... What type of lock should you use? Knobsets are prone to lock outs as their is a locking button on the inside which can bump a wall or furniture and cause a midnight callout for a locksmith.

We recommend, supply, and install Carbine Single-Side Deadbolts. They come in a variety of colours (finishes) and can be keyed alike, keyed different, or master keyed so that the owner retains the ability to open the room in an emergency. They are also NOT keyed on the inside which means they are safe if there is a fire etc.
